NERVE DAMAGE

TEN-SECOND TEST

For this test you need a friend and a broom.  Cut a bristle off the broom.  Have your friend poke the bristle into the bottom of your foot for 2 seconds.

WHAT IT MEANS

If you cannot feel the pressure of the bristle on your foot you may have nerve damage, a warning sign for diabetes.  Hand and foot pains can be indicators for diabetes, too.

WHAT TO DO

If you suspect you might have diabetes, see a doctor.
